FAQ about the workshop on resolving disputes and managing difficult conversations in education

This workshop is designed specifically for education professionals — directors of education, trustees, superintendents, principals, vice-principals, teacher leaders, union representatives, HR and labour relations staff, and anyone responsible for resolving conflict in schools, departments, or board offices.

The workshop will begin with some generic role plays which have been designed to highlight certain key negotiation and conflict resolution techniques. As the workshop progresses, participants will have opportunities to practise these skills in education-specific contexts. Also, the debriefs for each of the exercises and role plays will examine how to apply the skills in the education context.
