Dealing with Difficult People Workshop
Shireen was trained in mediation at the Harvard Law School, Program on Negotiation with Frank Sander, Michael Lewis and Linda Singer. She has attended a negotiation and mediation course at the University of Western Ontario. Shireen developed her skills as a facilitator while fulfilling the role of President of the Graduate Law Students’ Association at the University of Toronto and through her work with the Centre for Equality Rights in Accommodation and Law Help Ontario.
Prior to joining the Stitt Feld Handy Group, Shireen articled at the law firm of Willson Lewis LLP where she assisted with preparing witnesses, attending proceedings and preparing factums for mediations and arbitrations.
She earned her LL.M. in Constitutional Law at the University of Toronto, and her LL.B. at the University of Western Ontario. Shireen has a B.Sc. in Biochemistry from Queen’s University and M.Sc. in Neuroscience from McMaster University. She was called to the bar in 2008.
Shireen is an executive member of the ADR section of the Ontario Bar Association. She is also active in the community and volunteers her time and services to the Women’s Legal Education and Action Fund in Toronto.
